About Dr Anna Herrey
After completing her undergraduate training in Berlin, Dr Herrey studied for her PHD at the University of Hamburg, exploring interventional treatment for coarctation of the aorta. She trained in CMR on Germany’s first dedicated cardiac MRI scanner in Bad Nauheim and subsequently completed an MD at Imperial College titled, ‘Hibernating myocardium – characterisation by CMR, PET and genomics’. Dr Herrey trained in echo at Hammersmith Hospital, CMR at the Heart Hospital and coronary CT at the London Chest Hospital.
Dr Herrey was appointed consultant in Cardiology at the Heart Hospital and the Royal Free in 2011. She also co-runs CMR training for the London deaneries.
