About Dr Knott
Dr. Kristopher Knott is a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Cardiologist specialising in advanced cardiac imaging, general cardiology and heart failure management with a particular emphasis on integrating the latest artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. With expertise in Cardiac MRI and Cardiac CT, Dr. Knott offers comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for a wide range of cardiac conditions.
Serving as a Consultant at St George’s Hospital in London, Dr. Knott is at the forefront of clinical practice. He leads clinics focused on general cardiology and heart failure, while also overseeing non-invasive imaging services and managing the resident doctors. He is actively involved in teaching and training the next generation of cardiologists and has been a key contributor to national and international educational initiatives in cardiac imaging.
Dr. Knott completed his medical training at the prestigious University of Cambridge and University College London, graduating with distinction. He undertook his extensive cardiology training in London, including subspecialty training at St George’s Hospital, King’s College Hospital, Bart’s Heart Centre and the Royal Brompton Hospital where he completed the advanced Cardiac CT fellowship. He has extensive experience in CT coronary angiography, cardiac CT for structural intervention, and CT for congenital heart disease.
Dr. Knott was awarded a British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Training Fellowship, leading to a PhD in cardiovascular medicine from University College London. His groundbreaking research on quantitative myocardial perfusion using cardiac MRI has been published in leading journals and featured in the media. Dr. Knott holds Level 3 accreditation with EACVI in Cardiac MRI and is BSCI/BSCCT accredited in Cardiac CT.
