If you have a cardiac pacemaker or a similar cardiac device, it is highly likely that you may have experienced difficulty in the past having an MRI scan.  The majority of MRI departments will still not consider patients for MRI if they have a pacemaker due to the concern that the scan may interfere with the normal function of the pacemaker device.

At the Chenies Mews Imaging Centre, not only do we have a specialist cardiac physiologist available to make the required safety checks and programming checks to your cardiac device before your scan, but a consultant cardiologist is always available on site should you have any questions, or in the extremely unlikely event that there may be a problem during your scan.  By having these staff on site and by following very strict procedures, we are able to provide MRI scans for any part of the body to patients with a cardiac pacemaker in a safe, structure and monitored setting.

Our service for pacemakers is also fully recognised by all major UK health insurance providers.

Marvellous experience

A marvellous experience. I was very nervous having failed to go through a scan before and the two ladies were so nice and understanding and I was able to complete the scan on my front. I could not have done it without their kind understanding.
